Registering Online

Advising...
Please remember that all students who are admitted to a curriculum MUST have their academic advisor’s signature (or educational plan) to register. For online registration, your advisor must create an education plan (ed-plan) for the term. Advisors in the Bailey Building cannot sign registration forms for students who are admitted to academic programs. Don’t delay. See your advisor today!
The Educational Plan
If your advisor created an education plan (ed-plan) for the term, you may register online for classes on-line anytime after the day/time that you are eligible. You should have been sent an email to your school account with the date and time. Register early, since the educational plan doesn't reserve you a space in the courses... only registering does. Any student (except for high school students) may drop/add on-line through the last day to register prior to the term.
If you have trouble registering online, or would like your advisor to register you, then that is still an option. Talk to them.
Logging in to WebAdvisor
- Login to WebAdvisor at www.abtech.edu/ using the default (unless you have changed your personal password... which I highly suggest):
- username: first name, middle initial, last name (no spaces or punctuation)
- password: date of birth... MMDDYY, ie, 010580
Accessing your Educational Plan
The easiest way to check it out is to find the print out from your advising. This should have the class listed on the page. If you don't have it, you can always access it on WebAdvisor.
- Login to WebAdvisor at www.abtech.edu/
- Select [STUDENTS] from the menu on the right
- Select [My educational plan] under Academic Planning
- Choose an Active Academic Program and for Format Options choose [Planning Courses Only] then click SUBMIT
- Print out this page. You should see the sections your adivisor suggests under Comments.
Register or Add a Class
- Login to WebAdvisor at www.abtech.edu/
- Select [STUDENTS] from the menu on the right
- Select [Register for Sections] under Registration
- Select [Express registration]
- Enter the Subject, Course Number, Section Number and Term on your ed-plan (provided by your advisor for initial registration) – OR – enter this information for the class you wish to add. You can ignore the Synonym
- Select “RG Register” for each section you wish to register (this is like a shopping cart if you are familiar with buying things on-line).
- After you submit this screen your results (or any problems) will be displayed.

Pay online
- Login to WebAdvisor at www.abtech.edu
- From the main menu: [STUDENTS]->[Make a Payment]
- View your schedule from the main menu: [STUDENTS]->[My Class Schedule] your student account.
Drop a Class
Note: It is your responsibility to drop a class. An instructor cannot drop you. However, please check with your instructor about their exact policies. For example, the official class policy states that ff you miss 20% or more of a class, you may be dropped from a class, but this is a up to the individual instructor's discretion.
To drop yourself from a class using WebAdvisor.
- Login to WebAdvisor at www.abtech.edu
- Select [STUDENTS]
- Select [Register and Drop Sections]
- Check the Drop box under Current Registrations next to the class you wish to drop.
Add a Class from a Waitlist
You will have one day to register after being notified via A-B Tech e-mail.

- Select [STUDENTS]
- Select [Manage My Waitlist]
